NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
DRIVER: JONATHAN FINDLEY
|Years of Experience:||4.5|
|Date of Birth:||November, 18|
Jonathan enjoys basketball, baseball, riding his dirt bike, and four wheeler. He finds great pleasure in working on his little brother’s Bandolero or working on his NASCAR late model race car.
Jonathan has adjusted to the sport of racing rather quickly; he is no rookie when it comes to driving anything with two or four wheels. Starting at the age of four he was riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. For fun his grandfather, would take him to the local school and let him race his go kart around the parking lot. Approximately 6 years ago Jonathan’s grandfather got back into the sport of racing at Old Dominion Speedway. At that time, Jonathan was 7 years old and showed great interest in the sport. Jonathan would spend every Saturday night that he could at the race track.
In the middle of the 2009 racing season his grandfather bought Jonathan his first competitive race car. He completed the second half of the year in the Bandolero division at Old Dominion speedway and in the Bandolero division with Old Do
minion Karting Series. Jonathan showed great strength, courage, pride, and the ability to learn the sport rather quickly. In 2009, Jonathan finished 3rd in the Old Dominion Karting Series Bandolero division. Jonathan has been extremely competitive with in the sport of racing since he first started. Jonathan is a soft spoken young man that does not talk loudly about his talents and allows his fans and spectators to watch them come to life on the race track. He is a natural and has a great understanding of how the race car should handle and feel on the track, this knowledge allows his crew to finely tune his car.

Another significant accomplishment for Jonathan at the end of the 2012 racing season was being able to compete in his first mini modified (Pro 4) race at Old Dominion Speedway. Before competing Jonathan had practiced in his mini modified (Pro 4) only twice. On race day, Jonathan was forced to start at the very end of the field as he had not competed in this series at all this year and had no points. Upon the start of the race Jonathan slowly worked his way through the field of 11 cars and took the lead on lap 17 of a 25 lap race and never looked back as he took the checkered flag.
