Although Joe has followed all sorts of dirt racing as a spectator since he was a child, he didn’t embark on his racing journey until the ripe age of 34. He started out racing dirt bikes at a local motocross track. He found the high jumps to be hard on him, so he moved on to racing quads where he finished as high as 2nd place.

In 2008 Joe got into stock car racing. He bought a mini stock and took to the track in 2008. In his first year in the car he had several heat race and feature race wins. At the end of his first year in a mini stock, he was selected as the rookie of the year and finished 3rd place in the point’s standings.

After a couple of more successful years in the mini stock, Joe tried his hand at racing a tube chassis street stock. His experience in the street stock proved very educational. In 2012, he retired from the Air Force Reserves and racing to enjoy some quality time with family. In 2014, a friend asked Joe to race his car for him. Never being in the car before, Joe went out and won the heat race. His racing fire was rekindled. During the off season of 2014, he was encouraged by friends and family to get back into racing. He has decided to run the 2015 season in the RUSH Modified Touring series. With a new purpose behind his racing, Joe has decided to dedicate his racing platform to veterans outreach. His partnership with Armed Forces Motorsports is an exciting and seamless endeavor.
